For those of you who have already seen the movie "The Fast And The Furious", what did you think?

Vote, and also post your comments down, I want to see if everyone felt that it was a bit over-exagerated, but also the cars were amazing.

Also, post which car you thought was the best in the movie, (and let's not be biased and all agree that the triplet 5th generation black ex's were the best).

 

my only complaint was that i hate underbody neons. All the cars were pretty badass, but they were all spotless and clean. I'm goin to have to go with the Supra, cause all the rest of the cars were used more as furniture than driven. The Skyline was badass though.

 

I think the movie was alright since they decided that the import scene is growimg the movie business is gonna be making alot of money frist day I went the ticket was sold out now that the **** two tums up for us imports

 

I liked the movie. I think it needed more drifting and less jumping. The jumping thing is in all car chases. The four way race was cool.

I was surprised. I expected it to be a POS. Wouldn't mind seeing it again.

like someone aboove mentioned...i hate neon lights undercars so thats my only gripe. overall the cars were tite the theme of the movie could have been better. i really liked the s2000.

 

i went openin night and after the show was like a burnout contest. bunch of fellas with so much testosterone in em cuzz of the movie. i like hector's eg hatch . too bad the movie didnt show him run cuzz i believe his crew and him were goin wit spoon crates /t4 turbo's and nos if im not mistaken.

Spoon engine's with t66 turbos with nos...Those spoon engines have such high compression that they wouldn't spool up a damn t66 turbo...Mistake. Does anyone ever run out of nitrous in this movie?! Don't get me wrong though...I loved the movie...The acting won't win the movie any awards, but the cars sure as hell will!! A 40 million dollar budget movie with 20 million spent in cars...No wonder the plot was virtually non existent. Go see the movie if you haven't already...One from me.

 

Honestly, I thought the movie was going to be a joke. It turns out to be a very good movie. It was actually good I would recommend it. It never really gets boring.
Only thing that kinda quirks me is, since Asian's kinda did start this whole import thing, why were the Asians the bad guys?? hehehe.
And how come they were riding more motorcycles than cars??

I think the race of the drivers depends on the area. Shoot out here it seems that Puerto Ricans started it.

I think it was cool. Shoot someone had to be the badguys. I would be the badguy to rip a hot honda sportbike, a S2000 and a 250 offroader.

I am happy to say that I saw a sneek preivew about three weeks before it came out and I say it is the baddest movie. It could use some work though on realism. That skyline was pretty badass.

 

you could tell NOS spent a lot of money to put their name in the movie. what the **** was up with all the wack *** graphics on the car?! the green eclipse wasn't even lowered, he had an unrealistic nitrous system that monitored all the engine vitals on an Alpine head unit? wtf. only nitrous system that i know of, correct me if i'm wrong, that has an on screen display is the venom nitrous system. and at that, it is just a small lcd screen not on an alpine head unit. nitrous was so fucken overrated in this movie that it isn't even funny. turbos were rarely even focused on in this movie. in the beginning when they popped the hood to the eclipse, it was stated that he runs a i believe, a t3/t4 turbo. when the hood was popped it was so obvious that, that was a non turbo model eclipse. NOTE: no intercooler either. hmmmmmm. "10 second car" running compressed air with no intercooler. i guess that is just too advanced of technology for me to comprehend.

secondly, some of the dialogue was gay. RJ de Vera: "damn, this guy is fast." Hector: "no man, i'm going legit now and attending NIRA." so many wack *** plugs in this movie.

thirdly, you see Vin Diesel put in an intercooler when he gets in the engine bay but when they race the ferrari, the intercooler is MIA. i guess it flew off since they were going so fast. and at the "Drag wars" there was a flagger instead of a christmas tree. wtf. it seems as if everyone and their grandma was squeezing in that movie. and those ugly *** black civics were so fucken wack. those things screams "welfare racer" at the first sight of them. funky *** spoiler, neon under light (pep boys style), and i heard a blow off valve, but yet, again, no intercooler. hmmmmm. i guess it isn't trendy or cost effective to have an intercooler in the movie.

btw, i heard from a friend's little brother that this was an exact remake of an old Chinese movie. exact same plot and everything. i'll have to check that out and get back to you guys.

All the tech info was ***, acting was ***, plot was ***, basically the only thing that was good were the cars, and driving...but those parts where bad-***!

I agree with drag, the dialogue was wack, they put in so much corny dialogue it was hard to take em seriously. Whats the deal with all the NOS and when their racing why does his floorpan shoot out off the car? Is it cuz his car is going so fast? WTF. I think they shouldnt have focused on NOS so much, and they shouldve provided REAL turbod cars.

However, overall it was a pretty good movie, it kept me entertained in my seat and i cant say i wasted the money on the tickets. The only thing i wouldve wished for is for them to race skyline, which was BAD ***! With so many people speaking bad about the movie i went in there expecting to hate it but from the very begining i enjoyed the movie. so what if a lot of the cars are rice or if the dialogue sucked, it is the first movie in the states to shine light on the import scene, before it was pretty much in the dark people will hopefully get more and more into it and find out how bad *** jdm is. if not we could all open up shops and sell body kits, spoilers, decals and the all important NOS. lol.

yeah what was the deal with ja rule, he showed his face like 2 times in the whole movie. lol, i think the reason they didnt showcase the skyline more was probably because people wouldnt have known what the hell it was. Other than the die hard import guys who else knows what a skyline is? But then again all the cars were so full of stickers and body kits that it was hard to tell most of the cars apart from a non import fan point of view. I gotta agree with you guys on the *** part, definitely lots of nice ***

the floorpan thing was lame, so was the civic rollin under the semi. and oh yeah i do agree that was a long *** 1/4 mile, man he drove like 2 miles shot nitrous, ran 2 more miles and shot the other tank. I did like the whole thing they did with cgi, the way they showed the screen move from vin diesels arm down to the tranny engine and exiting out the exhaust. Overall it was a good movie though, you gotta remember it was a movie though, its ment to be entertaining, the producers could give a rats *** about showing the import scene like it really is or gettin every technical aspect of it. their making the movie to make money, they cant just satisfy the die hards needs, they need to tailor to all audiences and all in all they couldve really butchered this movie and made it really horrible. I think just the fact that there was a skyline in the movie shows they tried and i give em props for that.

Too bad the Green eclipse was an RS =X t3/t4 turbo....YEAH RIGHT....but other then that its my favorite movie...especially when the Supra whooped up some rich ****....thats when i called the guy in the ferrari in the movies a fagget...while my friend couldnt stop yelling rice..

 

Even though hte story was just OK and some tech stuff was off, Vin Diesal IS the man, Ja rule may have only had two lines but he did grab some ******* and I liked it. Just one question. How many orgasms were there over those cars?!?!?!
