brand intake that will pass smog certification here in cali? I have a generic one now but figure that could be a problem down the line...

 

just because they have smog certification doesnt mean its the only one that will pass, interesting question though, i have no smog testing where i live in NY so Ive never had to deal with it, but maybe people who had their cars smogged can tell u there experiences

 

My DC Sports intake is CARB exempt, and with my intake, exhaust, re-mapped ecu, and hi-flow cat, I still pass emissions by a LONG shot.

 

There are plenty of intakes with a CARB EO#.
best bet is to call the companies themselves and ask if they're carb approved for your particular application.

 

I was going to suggest Injen because I know they make intakes for both 4 and 6cylinder accords... except I don't understand what they mean by:

I've heard lots of "big" numbers with Injen... Personally, I've always used AEM CAI for both my Civic and Accord.

 

Hey like Nick seid ..........good question. at this time i dont have my Aem CAI on my car ,(too lazy to go put it on ) I have a generic one insteed right now , and i also need to get it smoged before May 8,.................... i will go with this guy i know that does smog's i will ask him if i can compare the two if it's cool with him .... if he seid it's cool i will post my resolts

i didn't know that, but it makes sense..the injen site was VERY vague on the CARB issue

 

cop just love to be right all the time.

my 13years old legend passed smog check with a home made intake.
prolly we know the guy in smog station for age...

 

he didn't get pulled over just because of the injen, right? i know in ohio, you can't just randomly be pulled over..there must be "just" cause. an intake doesn't sound like a legitimite reason imho... that sucks
