the rubber undercoating in one of my fenderwells has a bald spot and im planning to re-spray it with rubber undercoating. the question is if the car's chassis primered before the rubber coating is applied on? is the whole chassis primered prior ro the assembly of the car?

honestly...I'm going to try and remove as much of the rubber crap as possible. it's just extra weight in my eyes.

 

i loathe rust, i try to cover up any bare metal i see in my car.

how about info on wetsanding? when is it done? is it done to bare metal or only primered parts since water and metal = rust?
