Default 95 GSR burning oil

My car is burning oil like crazy, When it starts it makes a huge puff of blue smoke, which eventually goes away... but when i drive there is nothing burning until I get on it, then it smeels like hell and it black & blue (especially in VTEC).

I checked my plugs there is no oil there, and there is a light brown rusty color just on the tip of the plug, I thinks thats normal.?.?.

I don't know what i'm looking at dealing with here, some people say valve stem seals, others say cam or distributor seals, others say piston rings.

I need some advice from people who've either faced this problem and dealt with it or are dealing with it. Any ideas about what it is would be of great help

Thanks!

You mentioned what it could be, and its definatly one of those. Time for a re-build.

Oil on spark plugs. Means piston ring problem or leaky valves.

Puff of smoke on start up suggests worn valve seals. Smoke during vtec/high revs is rings....same as happened me a year back....1 word....Rebuild

What about if it smokes right when you get on it? Just for that little bit of time or right when you start it up?

Sounds like rings. The brown condition on your plugs is normal.

That doesnt necessarily mean its time for a rebuild...just advantageous to go at it all at once. Just so youre not scared....if its the rings, its not a "rebuild" situation.

Sounds dumb, but check your oil to see that you didn't overfill it.
