Default need the best manual for...

i need the best manual for rebuilding my automatic trans out of an 86 Accord Lxi. i need a technical one with specs. not a R&R manual. all help greatly appreciated.

i looked at the website and it said genaral repair and removal and replace, does it have tolerances and exploded views? i really need a dealer manual, i wonder how much they cost? i have a chiltons, but it is a lame manual. i need a tech overload!

They got some books out there..Check http://www.amazon.com and do a search..Im fixing to order on in a few weeks..

you can go to the honda dealer and order the service manual for between 50 to 80 bucks well worth the investment.

Thats the best way to do it, I work at a gm dealer, we get all ours from Helm.

We tried to buy tranny bearings not to long ago for a SOHC tranny.

The guy at the parts counter told us that tranny parts are no longer available for these cars.
No synchros, no bearings, springs, nadda!

We were kinda confused by that, but made sense to us.
Just letting you know in advance, make sure you can get the parts.
