Here's my problem; my muffler has a hole in it, so I need a new one. I have a b16 with a 4-1 header, a gutted cat, and either 2.25 piping or 2.5 piping, not really sure. So anyways, my question is, should I get the 2.25 muffler or a 2.5 ? I'm curious on what you guys think. Should I go bigger, or should I go smaller ..... anyways just want to here some of your opinons.

I don't see any reason to go 2.5 unless you get some cams, camshafts something in that area.

you lose too much low end getting too big of a pipe if you are NA

 

If you don't plan on going to FI then definitly get 2.25" max.

 

Well are you guys talkin about piping of mufflers ? Because my piping is already done but I'm not sure what it is. I was just curious to see what muffler you guys thought. Either my exhaust piping is 2.25 or 2.5. Not sure.

 

I think I'll go with the 2.25
