Which tranny is best to run with a B18b in my 93 4 door?

I can get a GSR tranny for $400 ...that would be ideal wouldnt it????

i would rock the GSR tranny

 

for the B18b any of these are excellent anything but the LS tranny:
1) ITR (LSD equipped)
2) JDM LSD GSR
3)JDM LSD Y21 B16A
4)GSR S80/Y80
4)B16A S4C

isn't dave selling his setup with the S4C b16a tranny??

 

Last time i talked to him he said sumthin about 3 grand

is your ZC sold? I would still rock that ...

 

not if you're planning on going turbo!! you'll get MAD wheel spin with those trannies. and another thing, the ls wasn't made to rev that high, therefore with the super short gearing of those trannies you won't have as long of a power band.

oh yeah, the itr and gsr trannies are however decent for the LS. I'd take the ITR just because of the LSD.

 

LSD isnt the end all the tire looseness.

stock LS tranny is best for the b18b. It's not a VTEC engine, it doesn't need VTEC gearing.

My friend jumped on this Vtec tranny + stock LS bandwagon a few months ago and didn't run ANY faster whatsoever.

I think JV (?) put a GSR tranny on an LS and didn't improve his times either.

 

i tried it before w/a GSR tranny and ran 1/10 of a second faster. after that, i sold the SOB to my buddy with a B20 and reinstalled the stock LS. I love the LS tranny because I do SOOO much highway driving. gotta love going 80mph @ 3k!!
