Default Quality of NON-OEM headlight's

Just curious because I'm about to order a set of 98-01 integra headlights. Are they the same as Honda OEM or crappy POS's?

u kno that is a really good question.. i' dont kno but here's a free bump for a good question. With all the people who do the 98+ conversion... it would be worthwhile for someone to find out. guess ur gonna be the guinea pig. hehe..

Lots of taiwan companies make oem stuff at a discount to dealer stock. If you go to those cheaper autobody shops for repairs, they tend to order from these vendors because they typically are 20- 40% cheaper than OEM.

The light fixtures and bumper knockoffs tend to vary by car make and model. They have to at least meet OEM standards but ive seen lesser quality. Sorta of a roll of dice here. Good luck to ya.

I was in sales for one of the top aftermarket lighting companies in the US. The quality is real good... just as good as OEM on certain brands. there are some manufacturers that are cheaper but thats when the you get what you pay for thing comes up. The aftermarket ones are a good deal... I wouldnt get the dealer OEM if it was my own car.

I'm not to sure but from past experiences all the aftermarket headlights my friends have gotten in the past are a pain because they never align right and they usually fog up and leak. Just my 2 cents

stay OEM. IF you need new lights why not check out the junk yards?

Honda made OEM's are kinda hard to find for my time-frame. I looked around as much as I can and I came up with nothing until I saw the OEM replacements on eBay. They may even be honda oem but I'm not sure, I doubt they are being priced at 250 each on the website (i bought for 150 each on ebay). I have to get my front end done over my spring break which is next week

I was also thinking that I could put some extra sealent around the glass part to help stop moisture from getting in. same for where the bulb goes in, put a lil silicone in there to seal it up a little better.
