Default B18c swap on an SiR

Okay... so I've just acquired my B18c complete with intake manifold, extractors, distributor (and a lousy automatic gearbox...), and I'm just wondering what else I'm going to need to get this baby running good in my 92 EG SiR. Also, I've heard combinations of B16 and H22a parts giving good results with B18c blocks? I've got a pretty good source of parts for both, so I would prefer building the engine up prior to dropping it in. Ideas ??

What's an extractor?????

H22 parts do NOT fit in a GSR engine.

I was kind of hoping for advice rather than rebuttal. I'm just keen to find out what parts, be they engine internals, pumps, radiators, cams etc that will work. Some h22a parts are of use with b18c swaps, not just in terms of the engine, but thinking in the bigger picture. Like I said, I'm just after advice, but any feedback is welcome.

I don't think Aj offered anything but a simple question.
Ich bin ein Loco Boy is the rebuttal master.
So.... what, pray tell, is an extractor?

Hmm...
it must be a local term for exhaust manifold

b18c with an auto??? never heard that one before, that'd be the first thing to extract (use a gsr, r, or b16 tranny instead).

yes, b18c's did come in automatic transmissions before. they probly still do in japan, where they also have automatic b16a's.

In the land of the rising sun (which is where anything Honda in my country comes from), your so-called GS-Rs are called an Integra VtiR, available in auto and manual. I was just putting the automatic thing in there for reference ( i was going to throw the damn thing away. So here I am 8 posts later and still no information - from the difficulties I'm having you would have thought no-one has ever done this damn swap.
I'm kind of hoping that my b16a manual gearbox will fit in quite happily onto a b18c - info?
But then... wait... you guys will find something else in my message to tell me about which is totally unrelated to my original query.

My country is the japanese car junk yard of the world. B16a engines can be purchased in fantastic condition for less than US$200 easily, and B18C engines can be purchased brand new for less than US$1150. Like I said, getting the parts is not the problem, just getting the info on which parts suit this application best, is proving to be the main problem.

That is good enough to make me change my terminology.
You think I'm playing? In a week or so when my site is re-loaded
to my new account, I will have pictures of the ole DC Ceramic Coated Extractor.
Why did you say extractors (plural)... nevermind. I just thought
Exhaust manifold.... Header.... and then when kids say "Dude, Headers"
Extractor sounds very techy.
Thanks, Adolf or is that Charlie Chaplin?

if your car is B16a equipede allready, all u need is the GSR ecu. Everything else bolts up........... H22a throttle body will bolt up and the injestors will go on too(maybe too big for stock engine). just use your B16a tranny and axles.
Check all seals , cambelt etc wheter need replacing....miles dependant. If u got some $$ may be can get the Skunk 2 intake and some good headers, those will get u started....happy hybrid

Now thats the kind of advice I was after. Thanks man. I've heard that my B16a ECU can be modified to run better than that of a B18C one tho? I know the fuel map is different but some sources have said it runs better on that ECU. Any other h22a parts recommended? Anyone got any experience with B20b/z parts as well?
