Car won't go into gear.....HELP
Well it started out as just being really hard to get into second gear when upshifting. Then I would have to like "double clutch " to get it into second. Then one day at a stop light I go to take off and I can't with all my might put it into first. With some frantic repeated pushing it finally when into first gear and then was hard to get out of gear and to upshift. There are no weird noises ,no apparent leaks,it's not grinding like the syncros are going, and I have bled the hydrolic lines a few times only to find no air in them. The clutch doesn't seem to have been slipping at all.It feels like something isnt right with the clutch but would that make it hard to go into gear? What do you think it is?......This is a 94 Integra LS
I had same problem once, it was hardlly shiftting to gear i took it to the mechanic and i believe it was the clutch cylynder something like that it cost $50 for the part and $50 labor so all it was $100, i didnt have oil in the clutch check the oil.
dude that same **** happened to me...it hella sucks...its probably cause you downshifted too much or too hard...its your clutch...you broke somethin in it...i forgot what it is but its like a break...the guy showed me...i bought a new exedy racing clutch and am a lot happier...the pedal is heavy but not too heavy and my car launches better...good luck...and by the way...the exedy clutch is not much more than the oem clutch...like 75 bucks more or a 100...and exedy makes oem clutches for gsr's so its all good...good luck

Me too.
If the synchros were gone they would let you grind the gears together. Sounds like the synchros are strong enough to prevent you from pushing into gear. I bet you can get it into gear if you shut off the engine. Then re-start after its in gear. Or you can probably shift into first while you're still moving, just in the last foot or 2 before you completely stop.
Sounds like your clutch is dragging. That's the opposite of a clutch slipping. Means it can't completely DISengage.
