d4 tranny light
if your d4 light is "lit up" thats a cel...in my 92 auto ls i was wondering why it would be on when i first turn the key but not turn the car on..brought it to a shop and it means u have a trouble code stored....
Check the bulb first... I think the tranny controller uses that as a 'check tranny' light; but in that case it either flashes or it stays on when you're in a different gear.

my tranny is kinda messed up i can notice it when i drive on the freeway. When im flooring it, and when it shitfs to 4th it under revs and over revs then changes gears. it is freaken weird. So it takes awhile to go into fourth. Then when im in fourth and i gun it, the tranny doesnt even down shift and the rpm is staying the same. All it does is get louder. Do you think changing the torque converter will fix the problem? thanx.

Only the ones who go for low 15s in an auto...
I kinda thought the tranny controller wouldn't actually perform the shift till the roadspeed was low enough. Even if you put the lever into 1st. But I've never tried it. What did your tach say? If you bent a valve, you'd probably notice. It's not subtle.
