Default ???Painting Rockford Amps???

Ok i got two rockford 2000 model amps(500s and 400.4) and I want to paint them to match my car's color theme and my colors are red and black so i want to paint the amps a light red. My question is has any one out there ever painted a rockford amp and if so how did you go about doing it. Also what type of paint should i use since the amps do get hot sometimes and if it safe to do. or If i should just do it the regular way of taking apart the amp and sanding it down evenly and giving it like two coats of primer and then two or three coats of the paint and then a coat or two of Clear coat. well i dont know,,, any info would be great and also if anyone got pics that would be great too.

huhhh..you should be able to paint your amps..you'll probably need to use high-temp paint...i dont know about clearcoating it...and i really dont know if painting your amp will affect its performance...most amps exteriors are designed to be a heat-sink...and also its actual color is also a type of heat-sink ( not sure if its like this for most amps )

kenwood's speakers/amps..have that black coating for heat purposes...not sure if it goes like that for all amps...
