Recomendation for an oil cooler kit
the only 2 i can think of are greddy and Jackson racing... i think that they are pretty much universal so I am not sure how they mount but check out http://www.greddy.com
i would see if you can run a ZC oil cooler. it should be an easy install if you can use it.
are you going to road race this car? just wondering why you want an oil cooler.

I'm in the process of rebuilding an extra a6 and I'm going to road race it every once in a while, and it can get pretty damn hot...the oil thinning out is one thing I don't want to happen on the new engine. I never knew zc's had oil coolers?? Does the earls kit just come w/ the radiator? I wasn't looking to do all the lines and everything...but I think I might have to.
Some of the 88-91 automatic sedans came with a "factory" oil cooler..
pretty much just a watercooled part that went between the filter and the block.
looks simple though, I may pick one up.

breaka please dont kill me-i think this is a great topic.i have a zc oil cooler for sale.its best to tap the back of the block to pickup the coolant.the thing was great on my buddies greddy powered zc till he blew it up.
Stay away from most of the kits. You don't want to mess with cheaper rubber hoses and crimp connections. If you think thin oil is bad, try blowing an oil hose...
I would suggest that you do it right or don't do it at all. If an OEM cooler is an option, you should be safe with that since they tend to be reliable. Otherwise, pick up a quality cooler (Mocal, Permacool, etc), some SS oil lines, and some quality fittings (Earls, Aeroquip, etc). I would also suggest that you run an oil temp gauge at your first few events to even see if you need the cooler. Keep it simple.

i am in the process of installing a remote oil filter in my civic. its a "custom" kit. i won't be installing an oil cooler, yet, but some of the things you need will be the same.
i am going to make up a diagram and parts list so people in the future will know what they need to do the remote filter. i had some problems finding the right info when doing mine and i bought a $30 fitting i didn't really need.

Accusumps save motors. Oh and I was looking into a stock 2nd gen RX7 oil cooler. It fits right in the front opening on a CRX. It might be a bit big for our motors though.

don't they look pretty the same as on B18C1's a C5's? the additional plate between the block and oil filter plate? with the coolant hoses?

So its a round thing? How does that cool the oil? I was expecting like a mini radiator.

Thing is when you put the sandwich adapter on, how do you take off the fitting that goes into the block if you decide to not want it anymore? Guess you cant huh!!!!!
