TB coolant bypass question...and coolant very hot!
Just wondered if anybody could provide me with directions/pics of bypassing the coolant so that it doesnt flow through the Throttlebody on my 90 Crx si. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also my engine seems to run very hot, but it doesnt register on the temp guage. Burned myself on one of the coolant lines! (Thermostat issue?)
Thanx,

Coolant is "Very hot". It is ideal if it is cooler, But because of the operating temp of the engine it is difficult to bring coolant temp down very far. You burned yourself because coolant runs through the engine at almost the boiling point. I do not think you should remove the coolant line from your throttle body as it serves a purpose in colder weather to control the temp of air going into the throttle body. I do not think there would be a safe way to plug the coolant line anyway due to the pressure the cooling system is under and I'm sure there would be no noticable difference. Hope this helps!

thanks for the input, but in terms of HOT, i am comparing it with my 88 crx si which never seemed to be that HOT to the touch, its not just the coolant lines but also the valve cover. Hesitates like a bitch when engine gets hot as well.
Ps. car will be my summer car. And i have seen the bypass done on this dudes si. Shouldve taken notes
Thanks

the coolant runs from the intake manifold to the TB to the EACV to a coolant line on the backside of the block. (or vice versa if the coolant flows the opposite direction) take the line from intake manifold to the TB and connect that to the back of the block were the EACV is hooked to. not hard...just messy.
