how are the hp gains compared to aem cai? sound as loud as cai?

 

not as loud as CAI. Actually in my opinion very quiet/close to stock.

much safer as well from hydrolock, well worth it in my book. I made the change and never regretted it.

Icebox

 

I own one, and I felt noticeable gains through the entire power band. The gains are very similar to what you would get with an AEM, however you don't have to worry about hydrolocking your car, which is the main reason I got the ice-box. Also, I thought the throttle response was a lot better. The ice-box is not as loud as an AEM in my opinion, but it does have a nice deep tone that isn't raspy.

when i had my LS before i had an aem cai...it sounded really smooth and deep. now on my R i have a comptech icebox...it's not as loud as the aem but it looks a lot cleaner and like everyone else said you don't have to worry about sucking up water. either way you'll be fine. but if you want the stock look go with the icebox. as for the gains, i can never really feel the extra power your supposed to get with intakes but for looks go with the icebox and sound go with aem.

 

i really like mine. i think it's worth it.
