I'm chillin at 87.xx% I think, I've beaten all the races, but can't get those damn Gold Permits.. Grr!

 

The most you can get is 98.X% They left out the DRAG RACE and didnt redo the %'s

Got around 95%, I don't think you can ever get to 100% due to a bug. I have 99 cars in my garage, something like $30 mil in cash. My favorite races are the endurance races.

 

original copies can only get 98.xx% The second release can get 100% You know the PSX Clasix version

 

I always thought the controls were more responsive on the original GT. Hope GT3 is the same (or better) in this regard; graphics are great, but tight controls are the key to gameplay IMO.

 

i agree, the originall gt the control was great i could drift with my eyes closed, but in gt2 i would really have to try a litle to drift....and the controls are soooo sluggish. hope g3 is better.

 

I acutally think the game itself is harder. The first one that is. On GT2 it's easier to ge license and win races. Or maybe all the practice on GT1 made GT2 easier.

 

I seem to remember reading a while back that if you actually mananged to hit the % bug, that you could call Sony and they'd send you out a pathced version. The release said something to that effect..."if in the unlikely event you actually manage to get that far..."

As for me, I think I'm still down in the 70's. I've been methodically going through all of the little manufacturer special races.

 

Yeah I bought the Bleemcast (highly reccomended. You can play PS2 on your Dreamcast with MUCH improved graphics) and bleemcast will tell you that you have the "bug" version. On their website it says you call sony, and send them your copy of PS2 and they send you a good copy.

I got to 6X.xx % and then my memory card got wiped out...a few months later, I eventually got 98.xx%. Then I heard about the disc swap that Sony was doing...I guess it's good that they fixed it, but if something like this happens with GT3, I'll be really pissed .

 

98% x 7 -- I was SO addicted to that game, Every time I completed it, the next time I would attempt it without buying the same cars (at least for normal races).....The first time I lost 20 races out of ~550, the second to sixth times I lost anywhere between 5 and 10 out of 550-750 races, the seventh time I did not loose a race in 600, I have all the memory cards to prove it....
