What modifications did they say voided it? And how did you blow a headgasket at around 30k miles?

 

What aftermarket parts caused them to void your warranty?

 

Legally they can't void your warranty unless they prove your mods cause the failure.

98 w/ 30k and a blown headgasket?? how did that happen? Did you redline all day? Do you have extended warranty? if not, your car is out of warranty anyway.

om rebuilding my motor (again) in a couple weeks, so you can have my stock headgasket. it only has about 2k miles on it........if you want it

 

Go to another acura dealer with the sign that shows they are high up in customer service..
This one dealer that i went to sincei got my car was really nice. Once they repalced my tranny. have them put in toda /act clutch..

Few months later, i dropped my tranny, my axels are crappy, they said the clutch broke them.
I went to acura in norwalk..VERY nice people there. they said the other place should have covered, and they laughed. they said just put the car back together, and they will be happy to replace them for me.

Point of story.. go to another acura, its not over. put your car back to stock now!

 

Hey man I would fight it. Get online and go to http://www.google.com and research it. That happened to me and Honda wanted to void my warranty but you can call acura and get a printout of the whole bumper to bumper warranty. It specifically states that a dealership cannot void your warranty unless they can prove that the aftermarket part you put on that part of your car caused the failure. Also from your engine bay pic....it doesnt look like you had alot of engine mods but that AEM CAI. That surely wouldnt cause your headgasket to blow and how the hell could you do that with 30k miles on the car?!??! I would go to another local Acura dealership and talk to them about it and be stiff with them and let them know about your warranty and all of the clauses. Good luck bro!

 

One more thing..this is sad, but they will discriminate you based on age I always have no problems when my mom goes tho. its very sad...

i live on li too, Smithtown Acura sucks *****.. Ive had nothing but bad experiences with anything on route 25 north of 347.. Smithtown Acura can suck the smog outta my exhaust.. bastards.. Even Nardy Honda can suck my Long ram Intake bastards.. wanted to charge me 26bucks for some honda centercaps for my integra.. mudda fuddas.. so i went to PS honda in manhasset.. got the same ones same part number for 17 each... DONT EVER GO TO NARDY HONDA.. HUGE RIP OFF AND NO ONE THERE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING.. except maybe the computer guy.. he knew of one of the shops round the way.. but hes still a poser..

In Conclusion: Nardy Honda & Smithtown Acura blows..
PS honda is way more helpful.. For instance i went to Nardy and asked about a valve adjustment on a b18c1 weather or not it was necessary to take out the spark plugs.. took them 30 mins to come up with an answer.. they had to get the effin tech.. and then he told me he doesnt know about integras.. so i enlightened him on the honda-acura connection... dumbass..

Sucks to be 18 and drive a 98 GSR.

 

Take off the aftermarket parts and get a parent to take it to another dealer. They will probably get better results.

Just a rant about age discrimination, A couple of years ago I locked my keys in the car at the dragstrip. Went over to the police who work there to see if they could help. "Sorry, nothing we can do" and then kinda blew me off. Called my mom cuz I was gonna need a ride anyway. She walked up to the same police officer. Came back with two officers and a slimjim that they had the whole time. Pissed me off.

Sorry to hear about your car. I'm going to play devil's advocate so here goes... Your complaints are the same for all dealer service shops.... not just for hondas' or acuras.

If you are go to the dealer for parts off the street, of course they will quote you list price. Who do you think you are, Mr Honda himself?


Honestly, if your car is modified, i wouldnt expect a dealer warrantee your damages since they cannot isolate if the damaged was attributed by poor workmanship or aftermarket modifications.

In the near future, i suggest finding a good shop to do your car work, or drive a beater and get a new hobby. Cars are expensive and the cost of ownership comes with a price. We all want a good deal, but be realistic.

Lets be sensible instead of being flaming mad. There's already too many haters and immature tikes roaming around tooting their horns. dont be one of them.

Again, im sorry to hear of your mishap.
