suggestions for tires 205/40/16's
Just ordered some wheels which should arrive around wednesday or thursday. I'm looking for some decent 205/40/16's for daily driving use. Any suggestions? Btw I ordered some Rota Grids.
I love my Toyo T1-S. They are directional tires. They are a bit pricey... around 150 Each, but I have never had a better set of ties in my life. They car awesome in the rain too.
those tires will be too small for your car. You need 205 45 16. If you run 40's they come out to about 22" you need 22 1/2" your speedo will be off and you will be putting more miles on your tach than you really are. Plus I think they ride like ****.

Ya, I just got some Rota Slips 16 x 7, and I put some Yokohama AVID H4 on them. They run really nicely on corners, and are even better for daily driving. But definately go with the 45's, because I wanted to go with the 40's but way to many people told me my tires would bend on turns under the weight. Thought id give my 2 cents.

Well after reading a bunch of reviews on the yok's es100, I think i'm going to with those. $78 a piece from tirerack.com.
i was having this same problem... Im going with toyo proxes T1 something... they have good tread life from what their numbers say.. falkens are nice too but the ziex are a little pricey. I can get a deal on tires, so the proxes are cheap.
If i remember right, didnt the grids only come in 15"?? For some reason im thinkin they did. In that case, no 16" tire wud fit. Are u sure u got the grids and not some other kinda of rotas??
16" grids were released not that long ago. check out http://www.1201aeromotiv.com. Matts a pretty cool guy.
