Default Fastbrakes SpecR kit

I put my Fastbrakes SpecR brake kit on a few weeks ago. I just finished breaking in my brake pads. This setup feels really good and I dont have much brake fade like I used to before, after braking hard for a while. I dont track my car now, but plan to start soon.

I would reccomend this kit for anyone looking for a cheap and goood brake upgrade that fits under 15" wheels.

I would like to say thanks to Brian at Fastbrakes, Owen the Soyboy, and Yellow Blur for the ITR calipers.

Here are a few pics. Enjoy

how much did this whole setup cost you? I was looking into fastbrakes a few months ago, I dont remember seeing a kit that fit under 15s, I know they have one that fits 16s.

so how much did everything cost you?

I picked up the calipers used for $150.

Talk to Brian at Fastbrakes about pricing on the rotors and pads.

Did you need brackets to fit the ITR calipers onto the brake setup? If so, I'm assuming Brian was able to fab some for you.

The install was easy. Will be harder for people who dont knwo how to use a grinder. Fastbrakes supplies you with the redrilled rotors. All you have to do is grind off a few mm off the back of the ITR caliper bracket. When you buy ITR calipers make sure you get the bracket. After you fit the calipers, its just like changing your brake pads.

I didnt change the rear brakes, just got new pads. I heard from a few people the rear upgrade isnt worth it. I am doing fine without it.

Here is a pic for you stinky tofu. It was an overcast day, so its a shitty pic. Also, imagine HID headlights now, I just out them on too.

what did u use to grind off the metal on the brackets? i couldnt really find a efficient way to get the material off.

I just used an angle grinder. Didnt take to long and was pretty easy.

I was gonna run the Legend calipers, but couldnt find any at the time.

The wheels are 15x6.5" with a +40mm offset. They clear the brakes just fine.

Damn your car is hot. Can you notice a difference with the brake kit with just daily driving? Or do you have to really push your car to feel the diff?

where did you get your ITR caliper bracket from? i currenty have my front ITR calipers for sale, minus the brackets. it would probably benefit me in trying to help a buyer find some brackets!

You can somewhat notice it daily driving when stoping to get off the highway.

You need to grind the rear of the caliper bracket where it mounts to the knuckle. I will try and get pictures somehow.

Yes, They are Slipstreams.

are the slipstreams as light as they claim? i saw an ad on ebay saying the 15's weighed 12lbs

also does a brake upgrade reduce 60-0 distances or can only tires shorten actual stoppinf distances
