We dubbed it the Fast and the Furious Solo II (how appropriate). haha.

White Dragon and I designed the course last night. It will be FAST and technical. We've decided on 2 (maybe 3) slaloms, two 270* loops, a few 90* turns, and some boxes. Should be a nice course. We're going to design it wide so that people are able to take their own line.
I'm guessing it'll be a mid 40 sec course on the average.

This is our first time at being eventmasters. Wish us luck!

Can you make the drive Yoshi?? You'd better start driving right now. You can crash @ my house. Anyone else up for a "mini-EXPO" AutoX in Omaha?

 

Can you give details on how you organized your event? In the NY/NJ/Conn area there are about 30+ ITR's and it would be great to organize an autocross.

 

davidnyc ~ I was just joking about having an "ITR only" AutoX.

It's a normal, regular AutoX. Our SCCA region has an open offer to be an eventmaster for an event. Just contact your local region and I'm sure they'll let you!

 

I've been following your crusade to build this course, LOL! Good luck with it.

Just remember, no matter what you guys to, some people will love it and some people will hate it. Filter out any criticism that isn't constructive and have a good time.

And post a course map, I'm curious to see what you guys came up with.

 

I saw the course. It looks pretty nice. It looks VERY fast. I dont know if thats good or bad for the little 4 bangers. I guess it will just depend on the gearing the car is running. Short gears = good

I don't have a course map that I can scan right now (scanner isn't working for some reason).

I think it went very well. Everyone got 5 runs + fun runs even. It was our first time ever as eventmasters and I think *most* people liked it.

It was a fast course, but still technical. We felt it was a neutral course for all cars.
