oil filter wrench size
I need to know what size oil filter wrench to get to remove the filter from my 96 gsr. I want the round wrench that goes on the end of a wrench or socket wrench and fits right over the filter. Not the clinch one. they go by mm size.
the filter is on my car and i cant get it off i had acura first do it when i first bought the car and the used a wrench and tighened it too tight now i need a wrench and dont know what size. I tired one of those clinch kind and broke it.
go to autozone or pepboys and get yourself one of those mechanix gloves. I won't do anything without them. If you find it hard to grasp the filter without slipping try those and work it. These gloves are great

Easiest way would be to bring the filter into a car store and try them all
get this instead of the standard oil filter wrench.. you can pretyt much use it for 99% of oil filter sizes... plus it werks alot better.
Its made by craftsman and can be purchased at ur local sears

is that a speciality tool? how much is it? I just used 2 wrenchs and they worked well that way.
Sometimes if the filter is good and stuck I'll use a piece of sandpaper to get a good grip it and really just crank on it and that gets it loose. Looks like you can also order a filter wrench from acuraautomotiveparts.org as well:
