Default oil filter wrench size

I need to know what size oil filter wrench to get to remove the filter from my 96 gsr. I want the round wrench that goes on the end of a wrench or socket wrench and fits right over the filter. Not the clinch one. they go by mm size.

Easiest way would be to bring the filter into a car store and try them all

go to autozone or pepboys and get yourself one of those mechanix gloves. I won't do anything without them. If you find it hard to grasp the filter without slipping try those and work it. These gloves are great

go to the store, find the right filter, then try out all the wrenches on that one. it should be the same size.

Easier way would be to pick up a replacment filter off the shelf and see what wrench fits it.

get this instead of the standard oil filter wrench.. you can pretyt much use it for 99% of oil filter sizes... plus it werks alot better.

Its made by craftsman and can be purchased at ur local sears

it is made for use on oil filters.. i think they jus call it an oil filter wrench and it werks wit a 3/8" drive ratchet so that the more u turn the tighter grip u have on it.. so it won't slip.. seriously tho.. you won't ever complain about having a hard time wit filters after u get that... and as for cost i think it was around 15 maybe a lill less

Sometimes if the filter is good and stuck I'll use a piece of sandpaper to get a good grip it and really just crank on it and that gets it loose. Looks like you can also order a filter wrench from acuraautomotiveparts.org as well:
