Default buying a b18a1

Where is a good place to find a b18a1 and how much should it cost with trany? It seems like it should be a pretty common engine. I would like to avoid paying for shipping. thanks.

Try all your local junk/salvage yards. Look in the phonebook and start dialing. Also check the classifieds for wrecked cars or even cheap used cars. I've seen $700 90-91 tegs with clutches out or something like that. Get what you need, sell the seats, brakes, ect, and sell the rest of the car for scrap and get $200.

My friend got his from a salvage yard and he paid about $800 for everything. Dropped it in a couple days later and that thing was FAST. He dropped it in a 4th gen civic. Very inexpensive, easy, and HP impressive swap to do.

That is a really good idea. Im gonna start looking for a teg with blown clutch or really bad body damage. Maybe I could break close to even.

Oh yeah...Should I only be looking for a 90-93 LS? thanks

All model Integra's from 90-91 had the OBD0 B18A1. The 92-93 Integra RS/LS/GS had the OBDI B18A1 and the GSR had the B17A1.
