Default Brake Light Question

Hey, does anyone ever notice their brake light staying on after the car has been started and the emergency brake been put down? I have only noticed this when it is really cold and the car has been parked for a while. It usually goes off after about ten minutes or so of driving in the cold. I checked to make sure i had plenty of brake fluid, so i'm not really sure what the problem is...or if there is a problem at all. Anyone know?

yes it happens to me all the time. Like you said when its really cold out it stays on for awhile then goes off. But when its warm out i dont see it. I heard a couple of other people say this happens to them as well awhile back so i think its ok.

Also check the bracket for the little button switch at the handbrake lever. If the bracket's bent, then the switch doesn't know that the lever's down.
