Adjustable throttle body. What size to choose?

*Ahem* I have a 2.0 liter DOHC 4cyl engine rated at 135hp from the factory. naturally aspirated and **NOT** variable valve timing. My question is. I am going to start modding it. There are two things that I have in mind. an adjustable TB from 58-61mm and a CAI. I have come to beleive that a 2.5" intake will work better for that size engine so that it manages to keep intake velocity up...Sound right? but as far as the throttle body what size whould I have it at? will too large of a TB cause a loss of power?
EDIT: and does anyone know of a good place to have the intake manifold ported to match the TB? and is it possible to port it while it is still on the car?

an adjustable size TB? got a link? I'm dying to see this thing
best place to port match it is in your garage. it's easy to do. otherwise any machine shop in your area could do it. just open the phone book.
You could do the port matching wiht the IM on the car technically, but think about what would happen to all the little pieces of metal that get ground off. Straight into the cyl. bad idea.

They don't detail out how it works, maybe I will email them. but would there be a disadvantage to choosing such a large throttle body?
And what tool would I use to bore out the intake manifold?

I don't think there's any way that the TB is adjustable in regard to its bore. I think they mean TAPERED bore...going from 61mm to a 58mm plate, or whatever.
My suggestion for your car is to first think of what your final power goals are. Why buy the intake if you are going to eventually do a motorswap or turbo the car and have it possibly not work? Also, if you are going to bother to get a larger TB and match the intake manifold, you might as well take the whole head off and get it port-matched as well and slap a header on and call it a day. With that and exhaust you could see some substantial gains in the top end.

You dont know how much I would love to do all of that stuff, I am certain that significant gains could be found in a header for this car. I do eventually plan to go turbo. and my real reasoning behing just wanting to put on an intake and TB is that they are easily removable in the event that there is a defect in the vehicle and warranty work needs to be done. the warranty is my only reasoning for not going after it the way it should be gone after. I think the way that the tb works is that it has different sized plates that slip in to adjust bore
I may as well go with the throttle body that is a worry-free install, and $75 cheaper
but with an unchanging 58mm bore
SO GUYS WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE IDEAL SET-UP HERE?
