I bought a VAFC and was planning to install it tommorow, i downloaded the instructions from apex's website and was reading through them and cant for the life of me figure out what the VTM signal/wire is????? Which cars have them and which dont, what does it stand for? My car is a JDM integra with JDM p72 ECU, do i have a VTM signal wire??? I know i'll find out tommorow when i pull out the ECU but i'd rather know now what it is and what it does
I have a 2001 GSR which is an obd-2.5 P72. The instructions I got with my V-AFC said that I didnt need the VTM signal wire but when I installed it without it, it didnt run right. So I went on the apex website and found out that I did need the VTM-Signal wire hooked up to the blue wire (forgot which clip). Just go to the apex website and find out. Hope that helps any.

I'm guessing that if your OBD2 car has it then possibly my OBD1 doesnt, but i'd still like to know what it is. Anyone???
VTM signal is the vtec pressure signal sent back to the ecu to confirm VTEC pressure.
When I hooked up my VAFC on my 98 GSR, it ran ok until one day I threw a VTEC code while driving in the rain. Came back and pulled codes, VTM or VTEC, so I hooked up the VTM wire, and all is perfect now.
