haha (sorry) pretty simple actually...theres these chrome looking little nuts that have round tops...should be about 6 of them maybe on that motor? I dunno, but turn them (righty tighty lefty loosy) then the valve cover pops right off...do not loose the little black rubber grommets that are in the holes though, you'll see what I mean

edit...to put it back on...set it in place...makeing sure the rubber seal (gasket) is in place as well, then tighten down the buts again

just be sure not to tighten them too tight when putting them on. just barely tighten then because they will snap right off if you start to wrench them too tight

this is just sad
you should just pay somebody to take off your valve cover before you break something

While you're in there you may aswell get new spark plug seals...for the 4-5 bux it is worth it.

dont forget to unbolt the ground too from the front right. and also, the tube coming from the intake at the back left that just clamps on. after that, theres just the 4 bolts for the valve cover, pull the plug wires out and it should come right off.

If it doesnt come off easily take a rubber hammer and tap it on the sides.

im not sure if its necessary to replace it, but i'd recommend it.
i'd say they're around $15 - $30 US.

it all depends on how worn your old one is. i got mine (for a B16) for $12.99 at autozone, so i figured it was worth it. the worst thing that will happen is a little oil will leak out over time. no biggie, but why not prevent it if possible?

if you are just figuring out how to remove your plug wires I wouldnt mess with the gasket, sometimes putting in new ones cause leaks. They cost $12.99 BTW.
