I figure if I get the front clip I get alot more for the money? sir brakes, axles, radiator, hoses, ac bracket, guage cluster, front end, etc. The only thing about the front clip is you dont know the history. I've seen b16a front clips with body panels for 1580. I would sell the front end (headlights and body panels) to help cover the cost of the swap.

Which one would you choose and why?

this is very intresting i never thought about buying the front clip for making up the price of the swap... but where doyou get a front clip for only 1500??

 

I found this site flashoptions.com I have'nt heard too much about them. From what I hear their shipping is on-time and the prices are good. Front clips without body panels usually run 1200. Over the pass few months I've seen front clips with body panels for about 1500-1600 price range.

 

buyer beware- ive had no personal experience but heard nothing but bad.

I purchased an EF9 front clip from Flashoptions and I just recieved it about 3 weeks ago. The only downsides were that shipping took more than 3 months. They told me that it would be shipped to my door but I had to clear it through customs and arrange a trailer to pick it up at the closest port. I also had to pay some extra shipping and customs fees. It came out to around $1900 shipped. I have an extra EF9 clip and a RHD conversion if anyone is interested.
P.S.
I can't talk crap about them on here because they monitor these websites and I already got screwed out of a Spoon chipped ECU for damage to their reputation.

 

Thats enough to make my mind up to never purchase so much as a spark plug from them. Are they tryin to be some kind of Internet *****? Thats so gay.. talk trash on them all you want, the only way they should be able to stop you is by actually providing GOOD service.

 

ok, one thing about flashoptions - this is a honda motor but their nissan clips can't be any different...

one of my friends got an SR20det front clip, supposed to come with everything... it was missing many important parts including:

ALL intercooling piping
Fan shroud
airbox (for the intercooling piping so it goes around it)

their shipping was delayed because they sent him a "bad engine"... took 30 days in the first place, then an extra 30 days for them to send another one

BUT to make up for the hassle they sent him a free MINES ECU, imo they suck and aren't worth bothering with... your better off just getting a b16 for $1100 from HMO - cuz ur not gonna get too much for the headlights

oh and at the time he was ordering all the responses were QUICK... then he sent out the money, it's sorta like the time it took for them to reply took longer and longer every day... don't know the story of the intercooling piping and fan shroud yet, but they better make it up pretty good

I have never delt with Flash Options personally, but I have just toured their website and just from what I saw there I wouldn't buy anything from them. I know our body style is considered "old", but their front clips look beaten to shiat! Everything is just stacked on top of eachother without any care what so ever, and who knows what will be broken when you get it because of that? We have an importer here in Georgia and I have toured their actual building and they do not do anything like that! Everything is sitting on a seperate shelf (mostly half cuts) next to eachother and the cuts they get they go to Japan, drive the car, and then cut it up themselves! To bad they specialize in Nissan and Toyota, with Hondas few and far between.

I would definitely get it from HMotors. I haven't seen anything bad from them yet.
