i hear that the b-20 is the best to boost and the best honda motor unquestionably! i dont know i am kinda partial to my b-18-b or boost but they all say the b-20 is better! ghost

Hmm after all the boosted b18c's Ive seen - I think I might say B18c1. Indeed, compression is a little high stock, but if we are going to assume youre going to build the block, then itll be wonderful. I dont know hardcore alot though -- Id try the FI forum.

The CA13 is the best honda motor to turbo.

 

I would say the b18c1 or b18b. I have a b18c1 turbo charged right now. My buddy made 460whp on stock sleeves with b18c1..

 

B18C1 is the best in my opinion. But basically its all about tuning no matter what motor. I've seen untuned boosted B18C motors get sh***ed on by boosted ZC motors.

 

I would say that the B18C1 is better for boost since it is stronger.

 

How is it stronger? As in rigidity(sp?)????

It has stronger rods, balanced crank, oil cooler (on the 94-95 models), etc.

 

B20 is the WORST B series to boost IMO, unless of course your getting it sleeved. Id say B18b due to the fact that its strong and replacement longblocks are plentiful and cheap, if you need another one.

I've always been told the b18b is the best cause of its compression, the b18c has a higher compression rate so it is more likely to screw up, but I'm gonna boost mine anyway, cause I just don't care...
