Default '01 PY "R" gets its first oil change today............

............3028 miles on the tach. Flawless, still smells brand new. He said he hasn't wash/detail the car since he bought it. The owner stores it over the winter months. (I know I'm in Florida ) He loves the car (who wouldn't be) and plans to do some mods.

Here's some pics to prove it

This adds up to be 7 ITR in the Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice area. 3 CW ITR, 3 PY ITR, and 1 FBP ITR.

Pretty cool......lol, I'm bored at work right now too

Yeah, I forgot to take some pics under the hood. Every nut and bolt still shine. He also mention he has not driven the car in the rain either. Well, he has another car he drives daily.

I thought people recommend not to do the first oil change till 7500 mile due to "special" oil was put in there from the Honda.

Most of the people on here changed out the oil way earlier than 7500. For some reason I think that the dealer knowingly gave misinformation to it's customers about the "special oil". I ran the oil until 5000 and the car felt like ****, so I changed it.

I would seriously like to see the baseline dyno plot difference between cars that had the original oil changed out at 3000 and those that waited til 7000. Live and learn I guess.

i cant believe he never changed the engine oil.
u better change when it's like 3000 mile or 6 months whichever comes first.
it's been 2 years so he had to change at least 4-5 times by now even tho he doesnt drive it
i dont think he loves the car at all and he's not taking good care of her you

You telling me, the other ITR guys are older too and don't care it was meant for racing. Just the nameplate

if he loves it so much he should change the oil more often... ESPECIALLY if he stores it over the winter. He should at least change the oil before putting it in storage and again after taking it out.

Could you emphasize more on what did you mean by totally rebuilt like what was done to the car? Thanks.
