Just out of curiosity whats the whp horsepower of a RSX Type S?, do they vary from different cars?....

i saw a magazine doing comparisons of some of the new CAI's and on the RSX-S the AEM posted a net gain of almost 20hp at the wheels to bring it colse to 190 so stock it must have been around the high 160 range
but dayyyyum 20 at the wheels from a CAI...that stock airbox must be crazy restrictive

Depends on the dyno, outside temp/humidity/etc.
I've got one run on a really hot day right after 3 laps at Carolina Motorsports Park (mobile dynojet 248): 153.2 whp, 119.3 tq
I've got another run on a cool day with the engine pretty much cold (in-ground dynojet 248): 179.27 whp, 130.71 tq
No mods, totally stock drivetrain.
1st runs were with heavier 17" wheels/tires and 2nd runs were with stock wheels/tires, but I'm told that doesn't make a difference.

Check out http://www.clubrsx.com dude if you don't believe it.
If you get the Hondata heatshield intake manifold gaskets for the RSX, it really helps out perfromance, dyno proven to add up to 3-5 ft lb of torque and 5 peak HP across the entire power band on a completely stock car. Cuz the head transmitts the heat through to the IM and makes the air much hotter and the stock air box is really restrictive so a CAI help out performance alot. Alot of hidden power.

160 at the wheel stock. Add CAI 421 exhaust manifold 3 inch CAT and 3 inch pipe to exhaust and muffler. Hondata. 205 whp
Add intake/ exhaust valves stems and springs along with Stage 1 or 2 Cower Cams or Kelford RBC intake manifold with Hondata gasket modified slightly to fit skunk2 71 mm Throttle Body. 225 230 whp.
Running with 94 octane gas

Still relevant to this day! I just ran into it out of curiosity as I just dyno tuned mine!
the next generation of replies probably doesn’t have RSX’s anymore 😂
wow 160–170 whp roughly stock.
I am stoked with my 242 whp run @ 9k rpm
-Kpro
-Toda RH
-Toda A3 cams Toda valve springs
-Spoon full catback N1 exhaust
-RDX injectors
-RRC intake manifold
-GruppeM Ram intake
-taper bored oem throttle body by Maxbore (rip🙏🏼
-91 octane pump gas w/octane booster est 92-93
no head work nor bottom end work
NA all the way 😜
hopefully in 2033 on the next reply. I’ll still have mine! 😂.

However since it is public it gives people like me some info to refer to even though we might be a member. When I started my first build I'd refer to various threads without being a member.
