Default 94-97 LS suspension Vs. 97-01 type R suspension

WHat the hell is the differance? I don't get it. Weren't the two cars made the same except with different spring rates and shocks? And if there are differances than they be corrected?

i believe there are dif LCA's, the chassi is renforced in more places, no mmonroof,
different wheels. ride height is lower, front upper strut bar, rear upper strut bar, trunk bar, rear lower tie bar (i think), .front sway bar and rear sway bar, maybe the alignment, brakes, and maybe some more.

i think that the fronts might fit but i don't think the rears will fit unless you get the Type R lower control arms.

All of the springs will fit. The front shocks will fit, but the rear shocks will require ITR LCA's.

It's got a slightly different chassis, lots of reinforcements, rear lower tie bar, front strut bar, larger front and much larger rear sway bar, more negative camber in the front, about 3/4" lower, stiffer springs with same front and rear rates, performance shocks, trunk brace, and probably more that I don't remember.

Overall, that's just a small part of the picture. The R also has a better engine, better gear ratios, limited slip differential, large rear wing, front lip, no sidemoldings, no sunroof, no cruise control, less weight, 5-lug wheels, larger brakes, and plenty more. It's a track car out of the box.

There's nothing that an R can do that you can't modify an LS do, but it'll take plenty of $$$ to get it up to that level.
