Default P28 Users, is your ecu doing the same thing?

Just got a chip for my car and my idle is now jumpy. I always heard it would be like that on cold starts while warming up the car. But mine is always jumpy. Anyway to fix it? Can it be tuned out? And why does it do this? thanks.

Yeah, mine did that too for a little bit. For some reason, it magically disappaeared one day. How? I'm not quite sure. But it's pretty common I believe.

get a vafc and tune it, it will take care of it. The air/fuel mixture is not correct at idle and it is causing the lummpy idle

how long has it been? give it few days, it should catch up by then, after 10-20 or more startups.

Purge solenoid is located on the firewall right behind the intake manifold. It's mounted on this rubber isolating mount.

George Knighton,

Do you have that text that I sent you regarding the hard start-up conditions caused by the evap purge solenoid? If so, please post it. I must have misplaced it on my hard drive.
