is the bomz high flow cat off ebay any good?
You can get Carsound Cats off ebay for about $70 shipped, but it doesn't come pre-welded with the flanges or bungs.
Or you can get a Carsound w/the flanges and bungs from

i don't know if that is 2.25" or 2.5". for most N/A cars with the basic bolt ons and lego building process, 2.25" is good enough. since the bomz cat is basicly a test pipe, no filter element, you won't pass emissions. yes a carsound cat is the same price, but then you have to pay to have flanges welded on.
the flow #'s for a 2.25" test pipe are about 400 cfm.
i've had an obx cat on for the last year & it's been fine. just make sure you know a shop or have friend do the inspection on your car. state inspection stations will not pass your car because of emissions.
it does make the exhaust louder which is something else to keep in mind.
performance, i dunno, my car hasn't been dynoed or tuned yet. i'm not gonna give stats based on a butt dyno. anything we pay money for and put on is gonna make it seem like it works. it's because we paid for it and don't want to be disappointed.
