Default Please Help with Heater blower problem

Ok Guys so I only have one speed in my 93 accord. So I pull the whole dash out and test the switch and it appears to be bad, but little did I know by looking at my crappy chilton manual that there is a resistor they forgot to tell me about. Why didn't I spend the money on a Helms? Anyway, So I replace the switch and it didn't fix the problem. I am now assuming that it would be the blower resistor. Can anyone offer any insight? How do I check the resistor to see if its any good or not? Thanks!

Is the one speed blowing at the highest setting? If so, then its certainly sounds like a bad blower resistor.

if the Chilton's tells the resistance that the resistor should be at, then you need to use a multimeter to check the impedance.

sorry, i dont know what ohm's the resistor is, so i cant tell you.

The problem is the Chiltons doesn't tell me anything about the resistor...

true dat, a resister is like a couple of cents at radio shack. if you have a soldering iron and know what you're doing it will only take a couple of minutes

I can't just wire that kind of resister in there.... Its more like 30 bucks, not that much but its still money if thats not truely the problem.

There's not a whole lot to them. There should be resistance between any combination of two terminals. You probably have at least one pair that is open.
