Default Lowering/no rattles?

HI all... just wondering ..

Is there a way to lower my car like 3/4 of an inch or 1 inch and not have the car get rattles. I dont like rattles!(no flames about "you are not a real racer if you care about rattles ) The stock suspention is more than good enough for me right now... I would just like a more aggresive and lower look. Dont want to cut corners though.

Thanks,
Jon

nope. maybe if u can get almost the same spring rates as stock... but bottom line is stiffer rates=more stress on body

Could anyone recommend some high quality springs that have a near stock spring rate? Would I bottom out a lot if I have "near stock" spring rates and a lower ride height? Is it bad to just do a spring swap without doing anything else to the suspension?

Thanks,
Jon

anything close to 2" drop and more will really kill stock shocks. my old teg's shocks died within 6 months of daily use with a 1.75" neuspeed sport drop.

but itr shocks are supposed to be pretty good... it might have a long lifespan i dunno. maybe tein has an s-tech spring?

Now that I think about it.. i should ask. Is it the springs or shocks that mostly rattle up the car? I will go with a full suspension setup because it would compliment my handling and launching..

Is the whole concept of a better suspension just having it stiffer?

I want to improve my launching and handling if possible and lower the car one inch without making it too much stiffer and rattling things up... is that possible? I mean if I find a close to stock spring rate and go with different shocks too .. I dont know, Im just confused

I dont think you will get the best of both worlds...

Its either handling OR comfort. Yes, there is a middle ground, but to me that makes it neither handle well, or comfortable enough.

Just leave it stock.....or deal with the bumps!

Have you considered the Comptech Type-R springs I think they drop the car 3 quarter's of an inch http://solar.innercite.com/comptech/suspension8.html

I want to improve my launching and handling
go to driving schools...well worth the money!

Now about the ride height, I have had the Mugen Lowdown kit recommended to me. If you want more info IM Kenji unless someone can post their opinion/experience with them

The best way to do that and not get any rattles is too buy the Mugen Lowdown Suspension. It lowers the car about 3/4", gives you adjustability with shock stiffness and the best thing of all......A cool *** Mugen decal.

Boba- whos waiting on Uncle Sam to send him his $600 additional tax refund.

Lowdown kit will be about $1500 ish to your door from King. Do a search on Mugen Lowdown...someone (big phat R, or black R?) just posted there feelings after recently purchasing the kit from Neek. Sounds like a nice setup...i haven't ruled out getting it one day myself. Definitely stiffer than stock though...but nothing like some of the guys are running...
