noise other than hatch squeek....

Default noise other than hatch squeek....

i'm hearing a noise more like creaking.... the hatch is fine and closed tight. i've seen 2 other crx's with the same thing... what might this be?

i'm guessing the the frame of the car. car is pretty old. my car does it too. need some way to strengthen up the frame.

thanks.... i was thinking something like that.... how can the frame be strengthened without replacing the whole thing?

Look at you're bushings in the lower control arms. All mine were dry-rotted when I replaced them the squeaking noises stoped. I'm not saying that is what you're problem is , but it worked for me.

also look at the rear trailing arm bushing. you can test this by jacking the car up and pushing down on the wheel.
