I just replaced my trany with a 90 ex and it feels diffrent are the gears diffrent? or is it just the new cluch/tranny setup playing tricks on me?

yes the gear ratios are different i have been looking for a EX tranny for 4 months and i just got one yesturday on ebay .. i just have to wait till it gets here now ....

LX/DX tranny are geared for fuel economy
EX tranny is more for performance
if you dont mind me askin how much did you pay for it ???

I got mine out of a junkyard here in town for $200 they had 2 of them. I think I spent to much but need the car back bad.

 

the price you paid is not too much i would consiter that cheap ..... i paid 100.00 for mine plus shipping of 75.00 so i am spending about what you paid ... everywhere else i looked they wanted between 300-500 for the same tranny so you got a fair deal

as for the differences i dont know the gear ration dfferences .... but they are different

 

o that's good the place I got it from is known to jack prices up on peaple guess since my dad knows the owner that helped I do wander what the gear diffrents is it seems to me to bog down more in 1st then my old trany but 2nd and 3rd are better. thanks for the info I wander what he wants for the h22a he has sitting there
