How Can I Tell If I Got A Real JDM type R Tranny W/ LSD
Hey I just recieved my new JDM ITR tranny with LSD and 4.4 final drive. I was just curious how I can tell if this is really a true JDM type r tranny with LSD. It has written with red marker b18c which I thought was the GSR. Then the cerial # is S80-????????. My g/f's GSR also has the S80 cerial numnber. How can I tell if this is real. And how do I tell if it has LSD. thanks

if you look through the hole on the tranny while its off the car, and you can see straight through it, it means it has lsd. COrrect me if Im wrong.

if you look through the hole on the tranny while its off the car, and you can see straight through it, it means it has lsd. COrrect me if Im wrong.

well first of all, i hope you know if you got the 4.4 FD then its the USDM trans. JDM ITR trans comes with 4.785 FD
yup, that's right on....USDM has the 4.4, JDM has the 4.785....you got a USDM unless someone swaped the 4.4 FD into the JDM...
what RPM's are you running around 70 mph in 5th gear?

I was always under the empression that 97 and below JDM ITR tranny's came with 4.4 FD's and 98 and above were higher. Oh well which ever one is better then my LS tranny

uhhhhhhhhhhh no. 98 and up=4.78, 96-97 =4.4

I orderd mine from b18c powered si. It cost 1250shipped. Very fast shipping and it is from a 97 JDM ITR with 4.4 FD. I am installing it tonight and will let u guys know how it works out.

S80 just means it originates from an Integra. PERIOD, nothing more, nothing less. Will not tell you if it has an LSD.

Just recently installed my ITR tranny. which was purchase by the one and only b18c1_powered_si. Tranny came in pefect condition, and in perfect WORKING condition. Hopfully I can reinstall this tranny on B18C5 soon..

im intrested in a 98 and up LSD and final drive ( 4.7) how much woudl it run for those two , only ? , i already have a gsr tranny , my 3rd gear is shot though not the gear just the sychro , so i will have the be crackin open the tranny to fix it any way ,

Could someone tell me the benefits of an ITR tranny? Would it just hook up to my b18c1 with no problems or other work? What I want to know is is ITR tranny more durable and reliable and better performing than the GSR tranny... I need something that will last me another 100k miles.

From personal experience. I like the itr tranny a lot better. It came with lsd, which is awesome on the turns, plus the gear ratio is shorter then the gsr tranny. That's my input on the benefits. It can last over 100k dependtion on how you drive it.
