Default Need a ride for the NNJR event on 4/5 Sat.

As you may have heard, one of my revalved Koni's "expired" after only 2 events, and I also discovered the old ES bushings are done as well...

...So while I do some work to fix the car and get it ready for the big events I am without a ride.

As worker chief, i can make it worth your while, trust me

I'll be instructing as well, but a ride in a Z06 or S2000 or whatever would be appreciated.

Email me at scca8@yahoo.com

Sorry to hear about your Konis Tony... I feel bad cause preached about the job they did with my shocks and told you that you wouldn't be disappointed. Apparently I was wrong.

If I had my car you'd be more then welcome to it (even tho its not a Z06 or S2000). But alas its not back yet... but I will give this thread a bump for ya!

Lend this guy your car! Like he said... he can make it worth your while (wink wink! nudge nudge! say no more!).

Tony:

Add my name to the non-attendees. I'd bring the Prepared beast down, since the celica is shockless too, but I got lots of reasons.....
1)The wife has dog101 final with the hound Saturday morning.
2)The big kid has his 1st baseball practice at 11:45.
3)My backyard where the alternate motorhome tow vehicle is kept is still a mudhole, even after 9 cubic yards of crushed stone dumped in the soggy spot. Dump truck delivering said stone couldn't make it to where I wanted it, even though he tried. In the process he made more of a mess than I had before. I also then had to do all the material humping. This also after it being necessary to summon a medium duty tow truck to yank the RV out of the muck after I buried it up to the axles. SO between the entry fee, the rock, and the tow, that T&T on 3/22 was a $325 autocross. My trip to Ft Myers on frequent flier miles was cheaper.

I'm sure somebody will offer. You just need some hints from Perry on how to be a car *****.

Was jeff referring to the banana buggy, or the bondo box?

So.. do you want to feel how a stock 5th generation Civic Coup feels like?? Its been a while huh? I know you want to... While you may be be kicking it and saying "giddy up" to the little mice inside to make it go faster, you surely will feel at home when you get in mine. You don't know/remember me...but last time I attended a NNJ event was when your Civic was still stock... many years ago... you are welcome to beat on my car.

Well, it will be completely stock after I take the cut-off springs out tomorrow and replace w/ stock springs. I just bought the car off some guy and this will be the first test while my Integra is out of commission.

To all who offered...

Thanks you all. Rob, I think Jeff was referring to the banana buggy, but I have no intention of driving all the way there especially if he hasn't even turned a wheel in competition with it yet...it's only fair to Jeff. Thanks Jeff.

Kev, The car that hates me beckons strongly grasshopper. I will rise to the challenge.

For the guy in the stock car... I don't know how you remember me, because I'm sorry I don't remember you... You're not some crazy fan or something are you?!? ONLY KIDDING. Yeah it has been awhile since I drove a bone stock one.

All of you are too kind. They don't do this in F1.

Paying for yours? I havn't even paid for the ones I bought for my car 2 months ago that are STILL sitting on my desk at work...its sad to say but I'm actually using one as a tissue despencer (I've been sick recently ok?!?). Some day I'll get my car back, get the rest of this ***** installed and actually go driving... someday...

... I miss you guys ... sniff...

BTW - I have no idea how you managed a stuffy british accent... I can only picture overbearing Italian for some strange reason

Anthony

Yeah... you better look out for me... I'm your secret admirer... .
Nevermind... wrong forum... Better not get started there before people get the wrong idea. Actually you and P.A. got me started in auto-X waaaay back in 97. I moved away from the region that year and just moved back this year.

Anyways... I tried to take off the rear shock this morning... and snapped the bolt. Whoever assembled the thing really wacked it it with the impact wrench. I'm going to chop the nut on the shock and drill the bolt out. Standard Operating Procedure, its the 5th Civic I had to do it on. I say this so noone laughs when I roll in w/ a stock front suspension w/ a lowered rear. I guess the car will rotate now!! So... instead of HS, I'll have to CSP or STR?

Well, I say this so no one kicks you out, make sure that car is safe and passes tech inspection.
