Question about Jun Connecting Rods?
I was going through the JUN website and found some Titanium connecting rods for the B18C. Would these connecting rods fit the stock ITR pistons? Just wondering cause I know that the lighter the connecting rods, the faster the acceleration?? I know that you can rev higher with lighter connecting rods. Is it worth it or should I ditch it? Just wondering.

How much do the Ti rods weight compared to the factory ITR rods? They are probably made of 6AL4V alloy, forged billet, right? Since they will be lighter, you might want to have the counterweights on the crankshaft machined to bring the back into balance with the weight of the pistons, rings, wrist pins, rods, and bearings. But yes, higher revs are possible with lighter rods, although they don't increase horsepower. The cylinder head and intakes/exhausts make power, only reliability can be found in the bottom end. Spoon makes or used to make titanium rods. If you want the absolute best, go with Pankl. You've probably never heard of them but they make rods, pistons, cranks for Formula 1 engines and 500cc 2-stroke GP bikes. Expensive though.
