Default d series alternator

This is a stupid question but will an obd2 d16y7 alternator fit my obd1 ls??

Listen. I have an alternator on my car. I also have an engine... maybe you should think about getting one. But lets get serious for a moment. Look at your carburetor and see if the wire leading from that to the abs controler is on good, also check the inverter gauge.

whats with these newbs and there off the wall replies...theres about 3 running around her on h-t if not more giving bullshit advice like this nut here....
