just bought a gsr...is there a way to tell if the odometer and motor go together???
hey guys, i just bought a 98 GSR...the carfax report on it says that it was stolen and salvaged and whatever whatever...
but the guy i bought it from says he put the b18c1 in it himself, and took the odometer out of the car he took the b18c1 from...that all makes sense right???
so the odometer and title match (55k miles)...but how can i be sure that the engine really has 55k on it???...is there a way to match the cluster with the engine???...
he says that in NJ they have really strict rules and that they verified that the engine has the appropriate miles on it...i dont know...please help me...i already bought the car, but i just want to know...
thanks

run the vin number on the engine through carfax
for instance, my car's title say gs-r 94 with 90k miles, but the engine's vin show 97 ls 60k miles, the odometer also shows 90k
