hey, search is down. Im having a B16 installed in my '91 DX next week and am wondering if I need to sign somethign before paying the deposit and dropping the car off. Like, what if my car is broken into and my **** is stolen while it's at the auto body shop? I have reasons to be suspicious of the place I'm getting it installed, so let me know any procedures i can take to insure my **** (rims/exhaust/$1000 stereo equipment) is still there when I pick it up

If you get those kind of vibes from someone it would be best to just stay away. There are plenty of people that can do that type of work for you. It is not worth taking the chance because usually if you are getting weird vibes from someone generally they are true. If you think he might be good do some research and talk to people that have had work done by him before. Hope this helps!
basically what he said and or take out ur **** nothing to steal means nothing gets stolen....if it gets stolen on his property he should have to pay for it thats what insurance is for....just bring it up say hey is my car gonna be safe here? u know why be afraid to ask its ur **** and ur paying for a service. if he says well uhhh and gets shady walk get it done somewhere else or do it urself
first of all what did it say on the 'thing' you needed to sign?? most if not all shops should do that to protect themselves if something happens beyond their jurisdiction..

I'll talk it over with him, ask if my **** will be safe here and see if how he reacts to that.
Thanks for the advice and if anyone else has anything to add, please do
I'll add this: (not trying to be an ashole, completely serious) do it yourself. engine swaps in hondas are easy as hell. get a couple mechanically inclined friends to help. you will save soooo much money. i'll be damned if i ever pay anyone else to work on my car.
