how to remove tint
get some windex and a raizor blade...
put your window down halfway so you can start taking the tint off the top of the window
what you do is spray the top with alot of windex to make it moist and slow stick the raizor into the film. you should be able to see the line where the tint stops.. thats where you wanna start taking it off from... slowly but surely you work your way down.. its kind of time consuming but definitely saves u money DIY.

what i did that was a bitch but it worked was just find where it starts, and rip the whole sheet off and then went at all of the sticky stuff with one of those window widgets. getting off all the sticky stuff was a pain so if you can use windex like this guy said and it comes off all at once, thats much better
soapy water that's it!! .. that's how i took off my tints..
but the best way that i found it (more time consuming) is heat gun. . just heat the window up .. and peal the tint away .. the glue and everything will come off in one shot.. no need to take a razor to the window after removing the tint (because the glue comes off on the tint as you heat it up and pull it off)
Goodluck!

funny that you posted this, as i just impulsively ripped my tint off last night. Here's the deal: if you can get your hands on some acetone, put some on a rag. It wipes the glue right off with minimal effort. my wife works at a lab so it is easy for me to get. Otherwise you can use nail polish remover. Just make sure you wash the inside of your windowsa good afterward.

I called a customizing shop today just to see how much tint would cost to install. For my '99 sedan, $150 for the back seat windows and the rear window (it's illegal in Illinois to tint the front side windows). I asked how much to take it off, he said ~ $100 if I didn't mind losing the defroster, and $200 if I wanted to keep the defroster.
I'm seriously considering the Honda sunshade (which is a rollup white sunshade) for $75, I'm just not sure how it will look.
iam7head, what bubble caused the guy you know to replace his window?

I've tried the hair dryer on my friends car....
Mind you I have no expertise about hair dryers so I dont know if some actually get hotter than others but i sat there until my arm felt numb and it didnt work....
it peeled off without the glue
i recommend getting a heat gun or renting one from home depot

Heat... that is fuken expensive for window tinting/removal. I would definatly shop around. Ask some guys who are in the car business. I found out an hour after i got mine done when i went to the muffler shop that there was a guy across the street that would do it for 100 bucks. Id definatly shop around
