Default Crash - JDM nose / light color input asap please

A deer jumped on the nose of my JDM Type R. Right front corner is toast. Ins. will cover, but body shop is ordering the parts today or Thur, so I need some help quick. I hear the full JDM nose kit has several options. I know about the black or chrome light inners, but what other options are there? Need to make sure they get the right parts. Nose will have a Top Fuel lower lip installed on the JDM bumber cover.

Does anyone have some pics or info/preference about what color lights I should get? I hear either black or chrome are 'stock' JDM colors in Japan. They will be non-HID. The car is Champ. White with Lexus diamond white pearl over. I think it had chrome in there, but I'm not sure. I'd like to see some JDM pics of a white one with black lites, or will that look stupid?

Sorry for the dark pics, not sure if you can tell if they are black or chrome. Guess I may have to go to the shop today and check.

Sorry, I don't have IM since I'm a noob. Please reply to the thread.

Seems like an easy fix. Probably won't even need a bodyshop except to paint the fender. I would take advantage of the situation and get a cf hood too.

you have the black JDM headlights. See the black liner inside the headlights? Thats the black. The chrome ones are totally chrome with no black at all.

Thanks for input. I have the black lites and will replace with same.

Anyone know anything about some supposed 'other' options on a complete JDM nose kit? This is what the body shop will be ordering, per insurance.

Probably can't get them to pop for CF hood, but I'll try. I was actually really lucky ins. is even going to cover everything!

No "options" to speak of, other than the style of headlight [i.e. standard, ITR (black), or HID].

EDIT: As for the CF hood, depending on the brand, it shouldn't cost very much more than a replacement OEM hood with paint.

Thanks for the head's-up -- I'll try for the CF hood. Bling!

Too bad I can't get HID's out of this too.

I hope after the damage that deer caused, you had a nice venison dinner. No sense in it going to waste I still fear hitting something like that...

Well.....

I bought the car setup like this from a poser. But for the deal I got, and with only 30K mi, I can live with it. He crashed the right front before, thus the JDM conversion. He also did a cr@ppy job on the inside bits like the core support, so actually, this worked out really well, because now it will all be fixed right.

I am in the process of considering what to do with it, now that I have rescued it and given it a proper home. It looks nice, but I want to turn it back into a driver, and do some autox and track days. I was planning to ditch the at least the 18's, and maybe the body kit, and junk. Possibly even the JDM and repaint back to original CW. The car has a clean title, and is in immaculate condition.

Unfortunately, the body shop is just too damn fast, and now I have to hurry up and decide by tomorrow if I want to change it. Haste makes waste, so i just said put it back the way it was. I can still opt out and go with a stock nose and such, but it will be a major hassle, but maybe worth it. Although from a deal perspective, insurance will pay out way more for JDM. Thus I might almost be better off just getting it fixed the way it is, then parting out the JDM, rims and kit, and putting a stock nose back on myself. I did get the stock rims and suspension when I bought it.

With autox, I think the nose will bump me into mod, and all the car has now is exhaust, so I'll probably get smoked in that class. Although there's no x around here, and I'll have to drive far to get it. I have not decided yet whether I want to mod the engine, and if so, how much or what mods. I also hate the exhaust cos it's loud (Maxspeed, not bad, but still...), and I rev it up through the canyons every single day. This will PO my neighbors after awhile, and I have to deal with small town cops and ricers here, so I don't want a ticket machine. Sleeper is more my style.

Other problem tho is now everyone is going to the 'clean' look, and I don't want to be like everyone else. Besides I don't like the white car, black hood, black rims style everyone is going to.

So what would you do if you were in my shoes? Stock it? Fix it JDM, then stock it? Leave it?

Thanks for the input.

hey i checked out that car like last month. I was looking for a R and this guy selling it was a dork. He didn't even know what he was saying. He told me that he only got hit from the rear b4 and i saw frame damage in the passanger front. I don't think you should bring that to autoXX Because that car is not gonna hadle right. I test drove it. But overall it was a ok car but the paint job is horable. If i was you i would paint over the car again.
