Default B18A okay to put in 94 LS in CA??

Hey help me out guys.. I should know the answer, but I dont. Can I put a B18a (90-93 teg right?) motor in my 94 teg with no problems? Im in ca, so im supposed to get same year or newer motor... but what are the risks if i do change over the motor.. can i use any LS parts i find to fit in this motor (i.e. pistons, rods, bearings, etc?) I think a LS motor is an LS motor but i may be wrong.. can you guys answer any of these questions?? thanks in ADVANCE! Oh and how much (cost and labor) is it to install a new "crank pulley?"

all the blocks are identical in the front except for the stamp. not sure about the rear, maybe theres no breather tank or something but thats not visible anyways. so ya you can swap all the internals.

the intake manifolds are different, and the vacuum hoses need to be rerouted. if they check this it will be painfully obvious.

as for the technicals you can search for that, i know its on g2ic.com. injectors, fuel rail etc. btw, you will lose power do to the intake valves on the head being a tad smaller, the intake manifold flows less, and most importantly the cams make less power.

oh and the crank pulley. well i assume 2-3 hrs of labor = 100-180$. it involves loosening the crank bolt (worst), tensioner, a/c, p/s.. then just replacing the pulley and tightening the bolts again. i think the bulk of the cost is setting everything back to TDC, then setting the timing.
hell while youre gonna be paying for all that labor you might as well put in a new timing belt and waterpump if they arent already new (<30k miles?)

thanks for the help.. I was going to build this on the side for a turbo set up.. the price is right.. but i also hear a b16 longblock is a cheap motor pick up (keepin in mind that most JDM <30k miles) and work with.. your takes??

Is this car going to be a daily driver or just a track queen? As mentioned above, SMOG will not pass you if the motor you have is older then your car. ANd its not just appearance. Remember, a B18A is non OBD and I think your Teg is OBD2. Eventhough the motors look the same, when your inspection station goes to hook up to your supposedly OBD2 ECU...uh ohh!! I wouldn't do it dude.
