Aftermarket carpet color vs JDM ITR Carpet Color
I noticed that there are a few companys making colored carpets for imports....
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the color matching as opposed to the jdm itr red carpet...
Seems to me that a new us aftermarket carpet goes for 160 while a used jdm itr carpet goes for 250....I dont think theres a need to spend an extra hundo just becuase its JDM...in my eyes its a 100 bucks towards something else
Anyway if anyone has any info on the closeness of the colors please let me know
Thanks
James

I am not looking to be JDM i think the red carpet just looks good, goes with the stiching on the seats and everything...
I though Thats where a got the idea from a JDM DC2 ITR maybe i am thinking of the DC5 and the CTR

The "JDM" crowd will laugh at you for being fake JDM and everyone else will laugh at you when your red carpet fades to pink.

well from what i have seen they claim to have a 5 year warranty on fading.. but whatever i see this post was a waste off time -- this ITR forum is a joke, unless your a regular here it looks like your mocked at whatever your post pertains too.

You yourself said you wondered if it was worth it to spend an extra 'hundo' because the carpet would be JDM.... now tell me why someone gave you a hard time!
what i said was there is no need to spend the extra money just because its JDM..... and as far as the one person giving a hard time.....it happens everytime i come into this forum so whatever......i am not looking to argue just to learn things and maybe pass my knowledge of something to someone elses inquiry

Red carpet was never offered in DC2's.
I'm sorry that this technical forum cannot live up to your highly technical standards.

Also one last thing, changing carpet is not worth the time and effort involved (especially if there's nothing wrong with your current carpet).
sorry but maybe i f'd up in typing but the question was not if its offered in the itr but if the color off aftermarket ones here where similair to the type r interior carpets in japan.....
it was my bad in thinking that the JDM DC2 ITR's come with it-- lets just assume DC5 then or CTR for that matter
-as far as the time and effort i didnt think it would be that bad but your right about replacing a 1 year old carpet for no reason --- i was just looking to spice up the interior a little without going crazy --- i dont like that whole painting dashboards and door panels its a lil over the top...i just thought maybe the carpet would be suttle -- my girls mom's S2K got me thinking about the red carpet
So anyway after all that if anyone knows anything about the color match of the carpets let me know

Well seeing that dc2's don't come with the carpet anyway, just have them place some carpet over your existing black one and see if it will match the stitching. If you think it will match, and you are willing to spend the money, go for it.
If you like it, buy it.
