I have an all motor set-up putting close to 200 whp. Would a clutchmaters stage 3 clutch be overkill for this motor? What else would you recommend? Also the clutch to get for a JDM S1 is from a ???

 

I've got an ACT Xtreme pressure plate with street disk.. works perfect for 215whp

 

How long have you been running that clutch? Is the engagement rough?

Also what is the difference between a heavy duty clutch and the Xtreme one?

I've had the clutch for about 2 years now, she has stock pedal feel, and has worked flawlessly. I think the heavy duty has a little less clamping force than the Xtreme but I would have to refer you to ACT for the official response.

 

I have a 6 puk act and hate it. Im going to a full face kevlar after the new bottom end is done.

 

I have the ACT HD Pressure Plate and Street Disk too.......holding in fine at 180whp so far.......can't wait to put it to the test more.

 

I've driven a GSR w/ 6puck HD pressure plate, and its pleasantly stiffer, and engages hard...the car is only making a mere 165 @ the wheels...but I thought Id add. I like it, but you might want a stonger clutch
