the civic vx ones i tihnk theyre 8 or 10 spoke?

my aunt has a vx and she left her car at my house for a week and i was thinking of switching hers and mine (cx) cuz hers look better. but then i felt bad, so i asked her when she got back and she said maybe.

but seriously she would have no clue i switched them.

i also wanted to take her armrest, drink holder (cuz mines loose), and clock. hhaha she has all this nice gadgets in her vx and its lighter than my cx!!!!!

 

no i dont wanna buy them, i can just take them from my aunt

but how much do they weigh?

 

11.5 lbs for the rim...

actually the wheels are 9lbs....11.5lbs is for 96+ HX wheels which are 14", VX = 13", they are exact copies of JDM 96-7 specs R (4x114.3)....

This is my 1st post.

I have VX wheels, and i wieghed them with and with out tires

without= 6.5lbs.
with 185/60/13 Yokohama AVS Intermediates= 24lbs.

 

o my goodness...thats less than spoon sw388s....is this for real?

 

does anyone have VX wheels they want to sell or trade for my CX steel ones with brand new tires?

Just remember the widest tire you can squeeze on there (safely) is a 185. that is the only downside. But boy do they rev up fast!!!

 

mang i was thinking how nice vx wheels would look painted flat black...

 

Funny you should mention that i just had mine painted Flat black three weeks ago!!!

Remember, these are 13" wheels, and unless you have the smaller brakes, they don't fit real well over them.

Who cares how light the wheels are, the tires are what make up most of the weight anyways, and a 13" just doesn't have the handling characteristics as say a 15" would.

If you going to toss some slicks on them and call it a day, then these are the rims for you.

 

I second that I have 9 pound Racing Hart CP-F Evolution's and 205/50/15 Kuhmos ecstra supra's and together they weigh 28 pound's man tires are f ing heavy.

 

VX wheels will only fit on cx, dx, vx.

 

VX fit over any of the 9.5" factory disks,
integras, EX sedans, and the new si have 10.3" brakes its no go....

fits over the rear discs without any problems...

also vx rims are made by Enkei, which are exact wheels that JDM 96-7 specs R ITR uses but in 15"

if you want slightly better but lightweight go with some HX wheels, which come in 14", look very similiar, (they are 11.5lbs)..they don't fit over 10.#" brakes but with some spacers they do...

 

how much are u selling ur VX rims for?
