Default GruppeM EP3 Filter Ram Charger

I did a search to make sure that this has not been posted before.
http://www.japmobiles.com/gruppem/

Dyno of GruppeM Filter Ram Charger AND H&S Manifold Race Cat and Cat Back

I found this on ClubRSX and i looked at the site and there is not anymore info on it.
I also went to GruppeM Europe Ltd.
Their links at this site wont work, so i will post the small pics they have. Try to make the best out of them.

I dont know how to get this thing. So if anyone has any ideas, or knows, let us know.

What are your opinions on this??? Post them, let us know.

I agree that thats a lot of money for what benefit you might get from it, but IMO certain aspects of the design are valid. The junction of the hood and windshield is an area of relatively low-velocity/high-pressure cool air. Unfortunately, they've spoiled the whole thing by putting the opening facing the front of the car. Ducting it to the area at the base of the windshield would have been sufficient.

Case in point, when you go down the road with the HVAC set to "fresh" and the fan is turned off, you get air coming out of the HVAC vents. That air is coming from an opening at the base of the windshield. I have to qualify this by saying though that there are vents located in low pressure areas to the rear of the car that are aiding in extracting that air, so its not only the "ram" effect that allows the air into the car with any force.

Still, I think the concept of the device is valid, but it suffers in execution.

I'd like to see this compare to the MUGEN unit, your roughly at the same price point. Both with high quality design and materials. GruppeM was thinking of making one for the left hand drive units later. This intake WON'T fit our EP's though.

Thanks,
Victor

You can bet Victor and the rest of the JDM crowd have already investigated sourcing for prices.
